To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination and set the number of places into Year One of the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics (HITL Bamenda), of the University of Bamenda, for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Mindful of law no 005 of 16 April 2001 bearing on the orientation of Higher Education.
Mindful of decree no 93/026 of 19th January, 1993 to set up Universities.
Mindful of decree no 93/027 of 19th January, 1993 fixing Common dispositions in State Universities.
Mindful of decree no 2010/371 of 14th December,2010 creating the University of Bamenda.
Mindful of decree no 2010/372 of 14th December, 2010 HITL into Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics.
Mindful of decree no 2011/045 of 08th March, 2011 to organise the University of Bamenda HITL.
Mindful of decree no 2011/319 of 30th September 2011 appointing the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bamenda.
Minfful of decree no 2011/408 Of December 9th, 2011 to Organise the Government.
Mindful of decree n° 2011/410 of December 9th , 2011 to appoint members of Government.
Mindful of decree no 2012/366 of 6th August 2012 appointing the Director of Higher Technical Teacher Training College.
Mindful of decree no 2012/433 of 1St October, 2012 to organise the Ministry of Higher Education.
Mindful of order no 24/00091/MINESUP Concours/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC/SE of 14 February 2024 fixing the calendar of the competitive entrance examination into Schools and Faculties of State Universities for the 2024-2025 academic year.
HEREBY ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1:
A Competitive Entrance Examination into year one of the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics (HITL Bamenda) for the 2024-2025 academic year has been launched in the following Departments: HITL University of Bamenda Entrance 2024-2025. kamerpower.com

Article 2: HITL University of Bamenda Entrance 2024-2025
The examination shall be organised in one sitting to Cameroonians of both sexes, holders of GCE/AL, in at least two (02) subjects including the major subject of the Department or Baccalauréat or any equivalent diploma recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and of GCE/OL in at least four (5) subjects including English Language and Maths or Economics and excluding Religious Knowledge.
Below shows the subject a candidate must pass in order to be qualified to register for the Common Entrance Examination for a given Department:
Maritime Transport
- Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2 and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.
Land Transport
- Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics. kamerpower.com
- Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.
Transit and logistics
- Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any ether paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.
Customs: HITL University of Bamenda Entrance 2024-2025
- Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religiôus Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.
Article 3: The application files shall comprise the following documents:
- A registration form to be collected from HITL Bamebda, the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education or the website OF MINESUP: http://www.minesup.gov.cm. or download form the www.unibda.net. or https://kamerpower.com/
- A certified photocopy of the birth certificate dated not more than six (6) months.
- A certified photocopy of GCE/OL or Probatoire certificate dated not more than six (6) months;
- Certified photocopies of GCE /OL, GCE /AL or Probatoire and Baccalauréat transcripts.
- A Medical certificate which is less than three months issued by a doctor of the Public service.
- A receipt upon payment of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA as examination registration fees delivered by NFC BANK S.A: ACCOUNT No 10025 00032 16201050747-67 or by Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money.
- One self-addressed large envelope bearing postal stamps in conformity with the regulations in force.
- Four passport-size photographs.
- Upon admission, candidates are expected to present an authenticated copy of their certificate by The GCE Board / Office du Baccalauréat.
Article 4: HITL University of Bamenda Entrance.
Completed files should be submitted to HITL Bamenda latest September 20th, 2024.
Article 5:
The competitive entrance examination shall comprise:
- A written examination counting for 70%
- An assessment of the candidate’s previous academic work based on transcript results for 30%.
Article 6:
The written examination shall take place on September 20th 2024 in the four centres of Bambili, Douala and Yaounde and Ngaoundere.
Article 7:
The syllabuses of the written examination are the same as in the Baccalauréats or GCE A/L corresponding programmes
Article 8:
Marks for each paper of the written tests are ranged from zero to twenty. Any candidate who scores less than five out of twenty shall be disqualified.
Article 9:
Questions will cover General Knowledge. English, French, Mathematics and Economics.
The distribution is indicated as follows: HITL University of Bamenda Entrance 2024-2025.
Paper I (Major) 3 hour: Coefficient 4: Mathematics or Economics.
Paper II (Minor) 3 hours Coefficient 2 (General Knowledge), English and French
Article 10:
After the test, the jury shall prepare the lists of successful candidates per series and alphabetical order of merit for publication by the Minister of Higher Education.
Article 11:
The composition of the jury mentioned in the above article is specified by the Minister of Higher Education.
Article 12:
The Vice Chancellor of The University of Bamenda, the Director of University Accreditation and Quality and the Director of the Higher institute of Transport and Logistics (HITL) are each in his/her own sphere, responsible for the implementation of this decision which shall be registered and published in English and in French whenever necessary.

Thank you for this forum. Just wish to find out if someone with an ordinary diploma (OND) in transport and logistics, that is, one year of studies in another school can be admitted to continue the second year in HITL UNIVERSITY OF BAMENDA.
