COMPETITIVE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

ISSEA of Yaoundé 2024: Entrance examination into ISE cycles and IAS écoles de formation d’Ingénieurs Statisticiens Economistes (ISE) and Ingénieurs des Travaux Statistiques (ITS) that are ISSEA of Yaoundé, ENSEA of Abidjan and ENEA of Dakar.

The entrance examination in ISE cycles and IAS are common to the three training Engineers schools Statisticians and Economists (ISE) and Engineers Statistical Works (ITS) that are ISSEA of Yaoundé, Abidjan ENSEA and ENEA of Dakar. kamerpower.com

This entrance examination is held each year of around 2,000 candidates in some twenty countries. They are common to all participating countries – mostly in sub-Saharan Africa – and allow access to schools, Dakar, Abidjan and Yaoundé. Each year about 150 selected join the three institutions. Examination centers are open in almost all francophone African countries and in some years, Equatorial Guinea.

Since 2005, INSEE shall organize joint entrance examination through the CAPESA internal structure attached to the GENES.

The number of places offered by ISSEA for IAS and ISE cycles is thirty (30) for each of cycles or sixty (60) for both.

The entrance examination in the TSS cycle is organized by ISSEA and is open to candidates distributed in twenty countries and fulfilling the required conditions. The number of places offered each year for this cycle is thirty (30).

The admission boards for ISE and IAS (STIs) are held at the end of June.

Preparation of Diploma ITS through A

• ISSEA, Deputy Regional Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics of Yaounde.
• ENSAE, National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis of Dakar.

Preparation of Diploma ITS through B

• ENSEA Upper National School of Statistics and Applied Economics Abidjan.

Preparation of ISE degree

• ISSEA, Deputy Regional Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics of Yaounde.
• ENSAE, National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis of Dakar.

Entrance Examination for 2024 are open and will take place:

05 and 06 avril 2023 for the ISE cycle (Engineers Statisticians Economists).
10th and 11th June 2023 for the ITS cycle (Engineering Statistics Works).
10th and 11th June 2023 for the TSS cycle (Senior Statistical Technicians).

Conditions for registration

ITS channel A
To stand, candidates must be more than 21 years on 1 January of the year of the entrance examination and are:

• Holders of a bachelor of science
• scientific or registered terminal (subject to the baccalaureate)
• Officials must be aged 39 years at the 1st January of the year of the competition, and belong to the national statistical system to entity.

ITS channel B
Candidates must be more than 23 years on 1 January of the year of the entrance examination:

• Mathematics for the option to be enrolled in 2nd year of Bachelor in Mathematics or Mathematics Special Class
• Economy option to be enrolled in 2nd year of Bachelor in Economics or a preparatory class for business schools
• Officials must be aged 39 years at the 1st January of the year of the competition, and belong to the national statistical system to entity.

ISE
A candidate can not submit more than three times in the entrance examination.
Candidates must be more than 25 years on 1 January of the year of the entrance examination:

• Mathematics for the option to be enrolled in 3rd year Degree in Mathematics or classroom Special Mathematics (holders of a diploma STI or STI last year of studies, are allowed to compete)
• Economy option to be enrolled in 3rd year Degree in Economics (holders of STI degree or final year of ITS studies are allowed to compete)
• Officials need to be 39 years of age on January 1 of the year of the contest and belong to the national statistical system to entity

Practicalities
Registration records for STIs and ISE contest are available from:

• Directorates of Statistics of most Francophone African countries
• Statistics of Schools and Training Institutes
• The CAPESA
• The deadline for enrollment in the examination centers is 08 May 2023.
• The examination dates (April) are specified at the latest in October of the previous year and included in the examination notice.
• The brochures describe the recruitment process and detail the knowledge required programs in core subjects to prepare for tests. There are five booklets, each corresponding to a contest, a pathway or option.
