Islamic Development Bank Scholarships 2026-2027. The Minister of Higher Education MINESUP Announces: The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is offering to the Cameroon government 50 scholarships for doctorate and post doctorate studies for the 2026/2027 academic year.

This scholarship programme is destined for research students from member states of the IDB with a desire to carry on with doctorate or post doctorate studies. The duration of doctorate studies is 3 years and the fields of study are: Health and medicine; Agriculture and food production; Hydraulic and desertification; Energy and infrastructural development; Nanotechnology and ICT The selected candidates will obtain an admission in one of the universities as listed in the website http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings.

Post doctorate studies are exclusively for candidates having innovative initiatives desiring to carry on a research project within 06 to 12 months in modern and well equipped research institutes. The project has to be related to domains such as: Malaria, Coronary disease, Ebola virus, Food production etc. Candidates for this level have to obtain an invitation letter from one of the research institutes, in a member state of the IDB or a developed country.

  • The offer covers tuition fees and pocket allowance, medical insurance and air tickets to and fro.
  • Duly filled application forms accompanied with the required documents have to be deposited at the Department of Cooperation with the Islamic World at the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development before 31 January 2025.
  • The candidature form can be downloaded from IDB’s website www.isdb.org. The eligibility criteria and further information can also be obtained from the same website.
  • Applications sent directly to IDB will not be considered.
