To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination, into the first year of the College of Technology (COT Buea) of the University of Buea, for the 2024-2025 academic year.

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1:
A Competitive Entrance Examination for admission into the first year of the Bachelor of Technology (COT Buea) of the University of Buea is hereby launched for the 2023-2024 academic year. (COLTECH Buea). COT Buea Entrance 2024-2025 Concours. kamerpower.com
The written entrance examination will take place on Friday, 10th September 2022 at the University of Buea.
Article 2:
The Competitive Entrance Examination shall be open to male and female Cameroonians who fulfill the admission requirement listed in Article 3 below, in the Departments of Computer Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Article 3:
Admission Requirements:
Applicants for admission must be holders of one of the following qualifications:
- General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics; and General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in at least two subjects which must include Mathematics and Physics. COT Buea Entrance 2024-2025 Concours.
OR - General Certificate of Education Technical Ordinary and Advanced Levels in relevant subjects.
OR - Baccalaureat C, D, E, F1, F2, F3 or BT (MSIE, MAV, MEM); kamerpower.com
OR - Any other certificates recognized as equivalent by the Minister of Higher Education MINESUP.
Article 4:
Composition of Complete application files:
Complete application files must include the following documents:
- An application form to be completed by the applicant.
- Certified true copy of the candidate’s birth certificate not less than three (3) months old.
- Four (4) recent passport-size photographs (4cm x 4cm). kamerpower.com
- Photocopies of the relevant academie certificates indicated in Article 3 above.
- Receipt of payment of CFAF 20,000 (twenty thousand francs) for the examination, payable to the University of Buea in the following account: Banque Atlantique Cameroon, Account No: 10034-00040-94063570003-92. Account Name: COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF BUEA.
Article 5:
Application forms and supporting documents shall be available at the Universities of Buea, Maroua, and Ngaoundere and at branches of Presbook in Bamenda, Douala, and Yaounde. COT Buea Entrance 2024-2025 Concours. email to the address cotec@ubuea.cm.
Application forms are available at PRESBOOK Bookshops in Buea, Limbe, Douala, Bamenda and Yaounde. Candidates are frrther informed that in addition to its current programmes, the College of Technology, will offer the following course during the next academic year (2023/2024): Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechatronic.
Article 6:
Complete application files shall be submitted at the locations in Article 5 not later than Friday 3rd September 2023. Late or incomplete application files shall be rejected.
The written entrance examination will take place on Friday, 10 September 2023 at the University of Buea.
Article 7:
The written papers below will account for 60% and study of files 40%. The written examination is based on the High school syllabus and will comprise:
- Mathematics paper (3 hours, coefficient 4).
- Physics paper (3 hours. coefficient 4).
- Language paper (1 hour, coefficient 1).
Article 8:
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, the Director of University Accreditation and Quality and the Director of the College of Technology of the University of Buea shall be responsible, each in his/her own sphere, for the implementation of this decision which shall be registered and published wherever need be.
