Competitive CAMRAIL examination 40 Assistant Drivers and 40 Shunting Agents 2026-2027
The Managing Directors of CAMRAIL and IMEFAC hereby jointly announce the launch of a competitive examination for the recruitment of (40) Assistant Drivers and forty (40) Shunting Agents, The entrance examination will be held on Saturday, May 09, 2026 in accordance with the following schedule and practical arrangements kamerpower.com:
Online Registration for the competitive CAMRAIL examination
Registration for the examination shall be completed online via one of the following websites: www.imefac.org or www.camrail.net, no later than April 26, 2026.
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- For the position of Assistant Driver, candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as at the date of the examination and hold a GCE Advanced Level (GCE A-Level), a scientific or technical Baccalaureate (C, E, F1, F2, F3, BT MA), or any recognized equivalent qualification.
- For the position of Shunting Agent, candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as at the date of the examination and hold a Baccalaureate or any recognized equivalent qualification.

CAMRAIL Competitive Examination Date and Locations:
The entrance examination will be held on Saturday, May 09, 2026, starting promptly at 7:30 AM, at the following examination centers:
- Douala: IMEFAC Headquarters, opposite CAMRAIL Medical Center in Bassa.
- Yaoundé: Etoa-Meki Public School.
- Ngaoundéré: Bilingual Government Teachers Training College (ENIEG).
Application file requirements for Camrail Concours
Documents to be uploaded during online registration (PDF or JPEG format):
- A certified true copy of the required diploma, dated within the last three (03) months.
- A certified true copy of the birth certificate, dated within the last three (03) months.
- A certified true copy of the National Identity Card. kamerpower.com
- A detail curriculum vitae, including the candidate’s complete address and telephone number.
- A payment receipt for the sum of twenty thousand (20,000) CFA francs. This amount represents 50% of the total application fee of forty thousand (40,000) francs, with the remaining balance subsidized by CAMRAIL.

N.B.: Examination fees are non-refundable.
Medical Fitness Appraisals and Psychometric Testing
Only candidates declared eligible following the written examinations will be summoned to undergo the medical fitness appraisals and psychometric testing.
The lists of eligible candidates, the final results of the competitive examination, and the start date for training will be published on the website www.imefac.org and www.camrail.net
Candidates declared definitively admitted must register at the Institut de Formation Professionnelle aux métiers ferroviaires en Afrique centrale (IMEFAC) in Douala upon payment of the training fees, which will be communicated at a later date and 50% of which will be covered by CAMRAIL.

Stages For Competitive Examination
The competitive examination will consist of three distinct stages:
- Written Examinations
- Medical Fitness Appraisals
- Psychometric Testing.
WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS
The examinations will cover the following subjects:
- Roles: Shunting Agent and Assistant Driver.
- Subjects: Study of Text, General knowledge, Mathematics.
- Eliminatory Mark: 08/20
Candidates are required to present themselves outside the examination halls 30 minutes prior to the start of the first examination. They must possess their National Identity Card and the application submission receipt. They are prohibited from having any paper or document in their possession.
Examination answer booklets and draft paper will be provided to them within the hall. To qualify for admission following the written examinations, a candidate must obtain an overall average grade greater than or equal to 12/20, without incurring any elimination grade.
