Freshmen Registration Procedures For University Of Buea

University of Buea also known as UB always welcomes all freshmen to its campus every academic year. You are requested to follow the registration procedures for admission listed below very strictly to enable you begin classes effectively as a freshman. 

University of Buea Cameroon - UB (Ubuea) Registration Procedures

Students are advised that if they have problems with their registration, they should seek assistance from staff of the University, preferably those in their host Departments. There is also an online procedure for UB admissions into undergraduate degree programmes for the Faculties of Arts, Education, Science, and Social and Management Sciences. The registration procedures as a new student at the University of Buea are as follows:

How to do Your UB Registration as a new student at the University of Buea

Registration procedures for admission as a new University of Buea (UB) student listed below enable you begin classes effectively as a freshman.

  1. UB Payment of Registration Fees

    During your Ub admission procedure, You should ensure that your fees are paid into the respective Faculty/school bank accounts as indicated on your UB admission letter. Payment of registration fees should be done using the online portal through MTN Mobile Money or directly or indirectly at an appropriate financial institution designated by the authorities of the University of Buea.

  2. UB Verification and Validation of your Fee Receipts

    You should then present the original receipt and four photocopies, together with the admission letter at the Receipts Control Service of the Finance Office for clearance located at the rear of the Faculty of Arts building.

  3. Receipts Control Service procedure

    After verification, the Receipts Control Service will retain the original of the receipt while the four photocopies will be stamped and handed back to the student. This copy marked “STUDENT’S COPY” is to be kept by the student. This copy may be very helpful in case the student loses or misplaces his/her university UB identity card.

  4. Medical Examination at UB Health Centre or any Government Hospital which is compulsory

    Then the photocopy of receipt marked “HEALTH CENTRE COPY” should be attached to the test results and reports from a Government Hospital or University of Buea Health Centre and presented at the Health Centre of the University. The Health Centre will in turn issue an attestation which the student will present at his/her Faculty for registration. New students who opt to do the tests in the University Health Centre will pay a fee of 5.000FCFA. The test results should be sealed, marked “CONFIDENTIAL” and addressed to the Head of the Health Centre, University of Buea.

    Test results and reports expected at the Health Centre at the time of registration of freshmen are:

    a) Urine analysis.
    b) Blood pressure
    c) Vision.
    d) Hearing.
    e) Chest X-Ray
    f) Blood sugar level.
    g) Weight and height
    h) Tuberculosis.

  5. UB Freshmen Orientation

    All University of Buea freshmen must undergo Orientation before they are issued with course registration forms (Form B) by their respective Departments. Students will be issued with tickets to show as proof that they have undergone orientation. The schedule for Orientation is always published by the respective Faculties.   6. UB Course Registration at Faculties level for admission

    To do your course registration, the photocopy of fees receipt marked “FACULTY COPY” should be presented to the Faculty, together with the attestation from the University Health Centre and the UB Orientation ticket for the issuance of registration forms and subsequent registration for courses. Faculties will not register any student without these three documents (fees receipt, attestation from the University Health Centre and Orientation ticket).

  7. Production of your student ID Cards after UB registration

    Using the last photocopy of receipt marked “ID CARD CENTRE”, present it at the service in charge of producing university ID cards.
