New process for visa renewal
The U.S. Embassy in Yaoundé has recently implemented a new way to simplify the visa renewal process. Qualified visa renewal applicants will be provided special drop-off instructions without the need to schedule an appointment when they enter all applicant information correctly.
Instructions:
- Fill out the DS-160 visa application form at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/.
- Create your personal U.S. visa account online at http://www.cameroon.usvisa-info.com/.
- Print your Payment Slip and pay the nonrefundable MRV at a participating Ecobank branch.
- After waiting two business days, visit your online account for INSTRUCTIONS at http://www.cameroon.usvisa-info.com/.
NOTE: Drop off your passport at least two (2) weeks before your planned travel date. make sure you qualify for this program and have included the following in an envelope. Dropping off an incomplete package will result in the rejection of your application and may delay your travel plans. If necessary an applicant could be requested to come in for fingerprinting purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous visa must have been issued at the Consular Section in Yaoundé.
- Previous visa must have expired within the last 12 months.
- Must be renewing same visa type.
- Applicant should have been fingerprinted within the last 12 months (you could be called in for fingerprinting if necessary).
- Applicant should not have overstayed on any previous visits in the U.S. or have any ineligibilities.
- Applicant should not have been refused a visa within the last 12 months.
- Applicant must be a citizen or resident of Cameroon.
DOCUMENTS TO INCLUDE:
- Your DS-160 confirmation page
- A valid CEMAC passport with at least six months validity and two empty pages
- 1 RECENT (less than 6 months old) color passport-size photograph, full face with white or clear background
- Supporting documentation on the purpose of your trip. Include necessary documentation for the visa category.
- Ecobank receipt of application fee payment
- A valid e-mail address so that we may inform you when the visa is printed
Qualifying for this program does not guarantee visa issuance.
If issued, the applicant will be informed by e-mail with the instructions on when to pay the reciprocity fee and collect the stamped passport. This process will take approximately two weeks after dropping off the above required documents at the Embassy.
