HTTC Bamenda Competitive Entrance Examination First year Second Cycle 2026/2027

To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination and to fix the number of places into the First year of the Second Cycle of the Higher Teacher Training College (HTTC) of The University of Bamenda in Bambili for the 2026/2027 academic year. 

The examination shall comprise

• Study of the candidate’s academic profile shall account for 25% of the total assessment.
• Two written papers which shall account for 75% of the total assessment.

Candidates shall not be older than 32 years of age on 01 January 2026.

ENS HTTC University of Bamenda Bambili year one of the Second Cycle

A written competitive entrance examination into year one of the Second Cycle of the Higher Teacher Training College (HTTC) of The University of Bamenda in Bambili for the 2026/2027 academic year has been launched in the following Series and Options, and in accordance with the number of places available as shown in Table 1 below:

The Competitive Entrance Examination shall be organised in one sitting to Cameroonians of both sexes, following the minimum admission qualifications stipulated below:

Foreign candidates may be authorized to sit for the examination under the same academic conditions depending on the number of places available and in conformity with the regulations in force.

Admission qualifications required for ENS Bambili second cycle

Candidates must be holders of a Bachelor Degree or Licence in the teaching subject of the Series, except for Guidance and Counseling- Inclusive (Special Need) Education where candidates must be holders of Bachelor Degree or Licence corresponding to their Options.

For Guidance and Counseling and Inclusive (Special Need Education), candidates must be holders of Bachelor Degree or Licence in Humanities or Social Sciences.

Holders of Professional Bachelor Degree or Licence delivered by the Ministry of Higher Education system and corresponding to the Series offered are authorized to sit for the examination.

ENS Bambili List of Application files needed for Admission

The application file for second cycle HTTC Bambili shall comprise the following documents :

• A certified true copy of the Bachelor Degree or Licence or any equivalent diploma recognized by MINESUP dated not more than three (03) months.
• A Registration Form available at the Higher Teacher Training College (HTTC) -Bambili of the University of Bamenda, Regional Delegations of MINESEC, on the MINESUP website: www.minesup.gov.cm or the website of HTTC-Bambili to be filled online by the candidate at www.httcbambili.com.
• A medical certificate issued by a State medical officer testifying to the candidate’s physical fitness to teach.
• Transcripts of levels I, I and III of the Bachelor Degree or Licence certified by the competent academic authority of the candidate’s University;
• A certificate of non-conviction dated not more than three (03) months.

• A typed certified true copy of the birth certificate dated not more than three (03) months.
• A Stamped (franked) A4 envelope at the regulated price with the candidates address.
• A receipt upon payment of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA as examination registration fee issued by NFC BANK S.A.: Account N° 10025000301730101738719 or MTN Mobile Money (HTTC Bambili MTN MOBILE MONEY Account). No other form of payment shall be accepted. The payment of the examination registration fee stipulated here is non-refundable.
• An Autorisation of the Minister of Basic Education and of Minister of Secondary Education or Minister of Higher Education, as per the case of civil servants in these ministries.

Having a foreign diplomas/certificates?

Holders of foreign diplomas/certificates shall be eligible only if they submit either the equivalence or the receipt showing that they have applied for the equivalence of their diplomas or certificates. The order granting equivalence and the receipt are issued by the Ministry of Higher Education. The final admission of such candidates shall be confirmed only on presentation of the text granting them equivalence, within the deadline set by the competent authorities.

Latest dates for submission of documents HTTC

Complete files should be submitted to the HTTC (Admissions Office) Bambili latest Friday, 13 February 2026 or the Regional Delegations of MINESEC where the candidate has choosen to write the examination, latest Friday, 13 February 2026.

The study of the candidate’s academic profile shall account for 10% of the total assessment and shall take into consideration :

• The candidate’s age.
• The number of years spent in the Secondary School.
• The grade obtained in the GCE O/L and A/L, or Probatoire and Baccalauréat.

What is the writing date of the HTTC Entrance?

The written examination will take place on Saturday, 14 March 2026 in the following Examination Centres: Bafoussam, Bambili, Buea, Douala, Ngaoundéré and Yaoundé, as indicated below:

• The syllabuses of the written examination are the same as for the Bachelor Degree or Licence and the papers/subjects are specified per department.
• The scores of each paper range from zero (00) to twenty (20) and attribute the aforementioned coefficient. The elimination score will be five on twenty (05/20) and below.
• A Jury, shall prepare the list of successful candidates per series and by order of merit and submit it, in strict confidence, to the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education for publication.
• Successful candidates shall not, under any circumstance, defer their registration to the following academic year.
• The final results are published by the Minister of Higher Education.
• Under no circumstances can admission be deferred from one academic year to another.

Candidates who are fraudulently admitted without fulfilling the stipulated conditions of basic entry certificate, grade or age limit, shall be subject to instant dismissal at any moment without any formal procedure.
