McGill university scholarships | Application for admission fully funded. McGill University Scholarship Program is currently open for 2024. This scholarship is offered to undergraduate, masters and PhD studies. This scholarship provides up to $8,500 for undergraduate and modest amount of bursaries to masters and PhD students.

The Scholarships and Student Aid Office administers financial support programs that are based on merit and need for students studying at McGill. Together, these programs serve to recognise, honour, encourage, and help students in their present academic endeavours and eventual goals in life.
McGill’s Scholarships offers a merit-based Entrance Scholarship Program and a need-based Entrance Bursary Program for all newly accepted, first-year, first-degree undergraduate students. The Scholarships & Student Aid Office administers an In-Course Financial Aid Program that provides modest amounts of loans and/or bursaries to currently enrolled graduate students in need of supplemental financial assistance
How to Apply for McGill University Scholarships?
Please follow the following instructions to apply for McGill University Scholarships:
- To apply for the award, aspirants are needed to register in an undergraduate/Masters degree program at the university.
- Students may apply for In-course Financial Aid anytime during the academic year, as the need arises. Applications are always for the current academic year (September to August) and are available August of each year.
- International (non-US) students who wish to apply to the Entrance Bursary Program from the University must submit a CSS Profile in addition to the McGill Minerva aid application.

Entrance scholarships for future undergraduates at McGill university
McGill’s Scholarships and Student Aid Office offers merit-based entrance scholarshipsto first-time university students entering a full-time undergraduate degree program. Transfer, Mature, Diploma, Exchange, Special, Part-time and Visiting students are not eligible for entrance scholarships.
There are two types of centrally-administered entrance scholarships:
- Major Scholarships, valued between $3,000 and $12,000 (renewable annually up to 3 or 4 years provided criteria for renewal are met).
- One-year Scholarships, valued at $3,000 (non-renewable).
Maximum one entrance scholarship
Recipients of McGill centrally-administered entrance scholarships can receive only one scholarship. If you receive more than one offer, the final entrance scholarship will be that of the highest eligible value.
Faculty-specific Entrance Scholarships
Certain faculties at McGill offer their own faculty-specific entrance scholarships. These faculties include Music, Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences, Law and Medicine. You should consult individual faculty websites and admissions offices for more information. These scholarships are not transferable should you change faculties.
Eligibility Criteria for McGill University Scholarships
To be eligible for McGill University Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enroll in a full-time degree program at the University.
- Demonstrate financial need, including the intention to apply for government student aid and/or Indigenous Band Support Funding.
- Apply for and accept the maximum available government student aid for which they are eligible
- be in satisfactory academic standing.
- Required Language: English.
- Eligible Countries: All world countries
