Scientific Event ENSAI: University of Ngaoundere, Cameroon, Scientific Event
Scientific Event ENSAI University of Ngaoundere
GENERAL THEME
Biodiversity and global change: valuation of effluents from industries, agro-pastoral and forest residues.
PROBLEM
The industrial, agro-pastoral and forestry generates wastes that pollute the environment. This waste can be recycled in order to diversify products contributing to the fight against poverty and climate change in the South. Indeed, plants, forests and animals produce waste such as bagasse, molasses, skimmings, peelings and cores, leaves and dung. Valuing them as compost, bio-ethanol, biogas, energy; plastics and bio-briquettes, feed for livestock helps maintain biodiversity.
GLOBAL OBJECTIVES
- Assist in the opening up of researchers in the sub-Saharan region.
- Assess the potential of research in bioplastics in composts on biodiversity and global change.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
- Promote the residues from industry and agro-pastoral and forestry activities in the Central African region including the production of bio energy;
- Develop compost bio, bioethanol, biogas, bio-plastics and energy from waste;
- Valuing non-timber forest products
- Train young people to the challenges of climate change and to develop small waste processing plants;
- Strengthen regional cooperation in Research and Teaching
SCIENTIFIC THEMES
- Production of ethanol and biodiesel from residues;
- Production of biogas from residues;
- Production of compost from waste;
- Production of bio-plastics from waste and forest residues;
- Production of animal feed from by-products
- Valuation of non-timber forest products
- Modeling and simulation;
– Processes and equipment;
– Packaging and bio-plastics;
– Quality and value of products
– Energy optimization.
OPERATION
The organizing committee is responsible for giving the seminar the national and regional level to promote the meeting of the partners in the chosen theme. It ensures the material preparation seminar (reception, transfer to hotel, flight confirmations, catering, General Secretariat …).
The Scientific Committee is responsible for selecting the communications to develop the program of the event and publishing acts.
