To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination, into the third year of the College of Technology (COT Buea) of the University of Buea, and fixing the number of places offered for the 2024-2025 academic year.

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1:
A Competitive Entrance Examination for the selection of fifty (50) students for admission into the third year of the Bachelor of Technology (COT Buea) of the University of Buea is hereby launched for the 2023-2024 academic year. (COLTECH Buea). COT College of Technology University of Buea concours 2024-2025 Third Year.
The written entrance examination will take place on Friday, 10th September 2023 at the University of Buea.
Article 2:
The Competitive Entrance Examination cited in article 1 shall be open to male and female Cameroonians and to foreign candidates resident in Cameroon within the limits of available places. kamerpower.com
Article 3:
Applicants for the competitive entrance examination must be holders of one of the following qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in the Engineering fields cited in Article 1.
- Brevet de Technicien Supérieure (BTS) in the Engineering fields ‘cited in Article 1.
- Any other certificates recognized as equivalent by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Article 4:
The complete application file must include the following documents:
- An application form to be completed online by the applicant. The application form which is found on the University of Buea Website: www.ubuea.cm should be completed no later than Friday, 03 September 2023. Late or incomplete application files shall be rejected.
- Certified true copy of the candidate’s birth certificate not less th an three (3) months old.
- Four (4) recent passport-size photographs (4cm x 4cm).
- Photocopies of the relevant academic certificates indicated in Article 3 above.
Receipt of payment of CFAF 20.000 (twenty thousand francs) for the examination.

Article 5:
All documents mentioned in Article 4: 2), 3) and 4) above should be scanned and emailed to the address cotec@ubuea.cm.
Article 6:
The examination centres are Buea, Bamenda and Yaounde. A press release published by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea shall ultimately indicate the modalities of the organization of the written examination.
Article 7:
Candidates are requested to come to the examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of each examination paper. They must come along with their National Identity card.
Article 8:
The written papers below will account for 60% and study of files 40%. The written examination is based on the HND and BTS syllabuses and will comprise:
- Specialty paper (4 hours, coefficient 4).
- Language paper (1 hour, coefficient 1).
Article 8:
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, the Director of University Accreditation and Quality and the Director of the College of Technology of the University of Buea shall be responsible, each in his/her own sphere, for the implementation of this decision which shall be registered and published wherever need be.

Good afternoon please I wish to ask the day the are to write the entrance for third year students
pls am confused when they talk of 4 passport size photograph reasons being that we are to apply online and when u snap a passport photo its just one,it is in the process of printing that they multiply it to for.so my question is are we to send just one photo ?

Please sir, is a “draft” transcript from ENSET kumba DIPET 1 accepted as an equivalence though not signed by the registrar of the University of Buea? Is it a valid document to submit for the exams?
