New Zealand Government Scholarship 2024 for Cameroonian nationals
The Cameroon Commonwealth Scholarship Agency hereby announces to the general public and prospective applicants that the Universities New Zealand– Te Pokai Tara on behalf of the New Zealand Government is offering two (2) scholarships under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP). The scholarships due to commence in February 2024 are for Ph.D or Masters level.
Their priority sectors are:
Leadership and Governance, Economics, Public sector governance and reform, Environmental studies, Education, Health, Agriculture and Fisheries, Bio-security and Food safety, Infrastructure and utility, Human Rights and Gender.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Be of Cameroonian nationality.
- Applicants must be applying for a direct entry to a Masters or Ph.D
- Programme at a New Zealand University.
Application files should comprise the following:
- A signed application declaration to be collected from the Ministry of Higher Education (room 1504).
- A certified copy of the applicant’s birth certificate (in English).
- A certified copy of official evidence of any name changed (in English).
- A certified copy of the personal pages of the applicant’s passport.
- A certified copy of the academic transcript for all tertiary qualification and the grading schedule for each qualification (in English).
- A certified copy of the completion or graduation certificate for each tertiary qualification the applicant has completed (in English).
- The applicant’s original International English proficiency test result, e.g, IELTS or TOEFL or selection of one of the valid reasons for not providing the test as.
- listed in section eleven on page 10. Test results must be no more than 24 months old by the commencement of study;
- If you are employed, a current job description confirming your position and outlining your responsibilities and duties.
- A current (dated) curriculum vitae, including a brief history of the applicant’s education, work experiences and skills.
- Three referenCes (no more than 24 months old) on official letterhead, supporting the application to study in New Zealand. References should be provided from your current employer and a former lecturer and where
possible, a relevant government or community-based organisation. - A 500 word statement describing the specific skills and knowledge you want to gain from your proposed study and how this will contribute to the social or economic development of your home country.
- For Master’s and Doctoral research students, a statement of 500 words outlining the applicant’s proposed research topic.

Applicants must submit three copies of their application – one (1) original and two (2) photocopies. Both the original and the photocopies must include all requested attachments.
Completed application files should be deposited at room 1504 of the MINESUP on or before the 30th of June 2023.
