Recruitment Cameroon National Institute of Statistics (246 interviewers). According to note N° 00005776/INS/DG/DAF/SDRH/SPE of the 12th of October 2018 from the General Directorate of the National Institute of Statistics (NIS), the General Director of the NIS is announcing to the general public that the NIS intends to execute the Third Survey on Employment and the Informal Sector (EESI-3) in the national territory from November 2018 to March 2019. kamerpower.com
SURVEY ON EMPLOYMENT AND THE INFORMAL SECTOR
Consequently, he is calling on young Cameroonians of both sexes to apply for the preselection of two hundred and forty-six (246) interviewers. Among these candidates, those that will be finally retained will be assigned to collect data on employment and the informal sector from households in the national territory.
Conditions for application
- Be a Cameroonian aged between 21 and 40 complete years on the 1st of January 2019 (precisely, any Cameroonian borne within the period from 2nd January 1977 to 1st January 1997).
- Be a holder of at least a Baccalauréat, a GCE A-Level certificate or any other equivalent certificate.
- Be available to attend training of the preselected interviewers in any of the four training centres (which are Yaoundé, Douala, Garoua, and Bamenda).
- Be able to adapt to the local working conditions, including the difficult field conditions, anywhere in the national territory.
- Be able to conveniently translate into English or French the information got from a conversation done in any of the national languages (such as pidgin, fulfudé, or any other local or ethnic language).
- Be in good health and have a good ability of teamwork.
- Have basic knowledge on information technology (use of tablets).
- Be ready to work in both the urban and rural areas of the 10 Regions of Cameroon.
- Have a good sense of organisation, a good team-working spirit and the attitude of respect of hierarchy.
- Having an experience in statistical surveys conducted by the NIS will be an added advantage.
Working languages
- The working languages will be English or French, and at least one national language of Cameroon.
Duration of work:
- Two (2) months.
Application requirements
- A stamped application addressed to the Director General of the National Institute of Statistics in which you will have to mention the post of responsibility you are vying for.
- A curriculum vitae (CV).
- A certified copy of your national ID card.
- A certified copy of your Baccalauréat or GCE A – Level, or any other equivalent certificate.
- A medical certificate .
- An information form (which is collected either from the Mails Service of the NIS or from any of the 10 Regional Agencies from the NIS).
Submission of application files
Each application file should be submitted, against a discharge, on or before Monday the 12th of March 2019 at the Mails and Liaison Service of the General Directorate of NIS or at any of the 10 Regional Agencies of the NIS.
NB: All incomplete files shall be rejected.
