University of Waterloo Scholarships for international students 2024-2025
University of Waterloo Scholarships for international students. Twenty scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, are awarded annually to outstanding international students admitted to Year One of an undergraduate degree program. International students admitted with an admission average of 90% or above will be considered. Selection will be based on academic achievement combined with any other Faculty-specific entrance scholarship criteria. An application is not required.

University of Waterloo Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for international students. This scholarship is offered for Undergraduate, Masters and PhD studies. Waterloo University scholarship is valued up to $10,000.
This is a full-time program open to students from around the world who want to study in any Waterloo Faculty undergraduate and graduate degree program.Faculties will nominate eligible students based on the Faculty’s award allocation. Students will be selected based on academic excellence as demonstrated through their application for admission to the graduate program.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRANCE AWARDS
- Entrance scholarships, awards, and bursaries are for full-time, first-year students who are in a degree program and beginning university or college for the first time in September 2024.
- You’ll automatically be considered for the majority of scholarships when you apply.
- Some scholarships and awards do require an application – these are noted in the database.
- An application is also required for the entrance bursary program. Note that this bursary is for Ontario students only.
How to apply for admission at University of Waterloo
If you plan to be a full-time Waterloo student, you’ll apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC), which handles applications to each of Ontario’s universities.
Applying through the OUAC means that you’ll apply or submit grades to the OUAC instead of multiple Ontario universities. OUAC will send your information to each Ontario university you apply to.
- Ontario high school students: If you’re currently registered in an Ontario high school, you’ll apply using the OUAC 101 application.
- All other students: You’ll use the OUAC 105 application for full-time studies.
