ASTI Buea Entrance Examination 2026/2027 Application files, Date limit
Launching of the competitive entrance examination into the first year of the Master of Arts in Translation (Division I and Division II) of the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters ( ASTI Buea University of Buea Entrance ), University of Buea.
Candidates are requested to report to the examination hall at least one hour before the beginning of examinations. A valid national identity card or passport will be required for admission into the examination hall.
Important exam writing dates
- ASTI Buea Division I : Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th October 2026.
- ASTI Buea Division II : Friday 16th and Saturday 17th October 2026.
- Application files date limit : Friday, 09 October 2026 at 3.00 p.m.
Complete application files shall be submitted to the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI Buea), University of Buea, P.O. Box 63 Buea, or to the Ministry of Higher Education (Room 917) Yaounde, not later than Friday, 09 October 2026 at 3.00 p.m.
What shall the competitive entrance examination shall comprise of?
The competitive entrance examination shall comprise the following papers.
- Paper 1 (Coefficient 1): 1 hr. – Oral Examination
- Paper 2 (Coefficient 1): 1 hr. – Sight Translation from Language B into Language A and from Language A into Language B.
- Paper 3 (Coefficient 2): 2 hrs. – Consecutive Interpretation from Language B into Language A and from Language A into Language B.
- Paper 4 (Coefficient 2): 2 hrs. – Simultaneous Interpretation from Language B into Language A and Language A into Language B.
Who can sit for the ASTI II Examination?
The competitive entrance examination shall be open to male and female Cameroonians who hold a bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Cameroon. (Foreign candidates shall be selected after an examination of their application files).

Les Evenements des Concours lances 2026-2027:
Officially, the 2026 schedule for Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Board examinations will run from early May through late-May for practicals, with written, General, and Technical papers following in June.
The April – June 2026 session of the Higher National Diploma (HND 2026 Cameroon) exam have been launched and shall take place in the following four (04) centres: Bamenda, Buea, Douala and Yaounde. Other exam centres could be created if conditions allow.
