IDB scholarship apply: Islamic development bank scholarship 2026 (Fully funded). The Bank funds and implements its scholarship programmes as part of its overall efforts to develop the human resources of its member countries and those of the Muslim communities in non-member countries. 

This scholarship is offered for undergraduate, masters, PhD and post doctoral studies. Islamic Development Bank Scholarship provides monthly stipend, tuition fees, medical support and travel allowance.

Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Scholarship will provide the recipient with month to month living and books attire recompenses equivalent with the typical cost for basic items in the nation of study, the full educational cost to be paid straightforwardly to the college, medical coverage, and so on.

There are six scholarship programmes offered by IsDB:

1. Undergraduate. 
2. Master’s.
3. PhD and Post-Doctoral Research Programme.
4. IsDB-ISFD for Technical Vocational Education & Training (TVET) for 21 Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs):  Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somali, Sudan, Togo, Uganda and Yemen.
5. IsDB-ISFD Bachelor studies for 21 LDMCs as mentioned in No. 4 above.
6. IsDB-The World Academy of Science (TWAS) Joint Programme for Capacity Building and Technology Transfer.

Place of Study

Consistent with the concept of the Programme, the admission is solely the responsibility of the student. Selected students must obtain admission from one of the top 10 public/government universities in their own countries.

Meanwhile, for some students who could not secure admission in their own countries, due to any unavoidable situation, the IsDB may seek admission in member countries having agreement with the IsDB. The final decision of the admission of any student under these agreements is subject to the acceptance by the respective universities in these countries. 

Eligibility Criteria for IsDB Scholarship

To qualify for Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Scholarship, candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements below:

• Eligible Countries: IsDB member countries.
• Required Language: English.

For Master Program: 

• Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the programme stating its scientific and development relevance to the community / country.
• Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
• Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing.
• Preferably have work and/or research experience.

For Post-doctoral Research:

• Must have a record of publications/research in the same field.
• Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the programme stating its scientific and development relevance to the community / country.
• Have PhD degree in one of approved fields of the programme.
• Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing.
• Have not less than two (2) years of experience in the field of research.
• Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.

For Undergraduate Program: 

• The eligible candidates should Complete senior secondary education (or the equivalent of approximately 12 years of education) with good grades in major subjects.
• Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
• Not in receipt of any other scholarship.

For Vocational Education Training (VET):

• Completed high school with minimum good grades in major subjects;
• Not in receipt of any other scholarship.
• Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
• Citizens of any of the 21 IsDB LDMCs Countries.

For PhD Study: 

• Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing.
• Have Master’s degree in one of the fields of study of the programme.
• Preferably have work and/or research experience.
• Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the programme stating its scientific and development relevance to the community / country.
• Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.

Please follow the following instructions to avail IsDB Scholarship:

1. Take admission in the desired college or university.
2. Fill the IsDB scholarship application form.
3. After registration, You will receive a message shortly, through your email, including your username and password for you to access your account.
4. Upload the required documents.
5. For being considered for this grant, students are required to submit a sign a Surety Bond stating their commitment to their studies, their return to their countries upon completion of their studies and serve their communities and countries.
6. Submit your application.

For Undergraduate Scholarship, upload following documents:

• Upload Certificate of Good Health from a medical doctor or a hospital.
• Upload Certified true copy of High School transcripts’ certificate.
• English Language Proficiency Certificate (ILETS, TOEFL, etc.).
• Upload National ID\Passport.

For PhD Scholarship, upload following documents:

• Upload work experience certificate.
• Upload a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the programme stating its scientific and development relevance to the community / country.

For Masters Scholarship, upload following documents:

IDB Scholarship Coverage

Islamic Development Bank Scholarship will cover:

• Economy class return air tickets (once at the time of joining and on completion of study) and installation and equipment allowance for the students selected to study abroad at partnered universities/countries.
• To help students prepare themselves for their future leading role in the development of their communities and countries, the IsDB also provides them with extra-curricular activities under a special programme called “Mentorship, Guidance and Counselling Programme” to ensure their academic progress and social and psychological integration at the university as well as with the local community environment.
• Scientific papers’ preparation allowance.
• Month to month living and books attire recompenses equivalent with the typical cost for basic items in the nation of study
• The full educational cost to be paid straightforwardly to the college. 
• Medical coverage. 
• Thesis preparation allowance.
