The University of Buea
University of Buea is located in Buea in South West Cameroon near Mount Cameroon (Mount Cameroon is an active volcano with a height of about 4,040 m near the Gulf of Guinea which last erupted in 2000). It was founded as a university centre in 1985 and it became a university in 1992 on basis of government decree. kamerpower.com
The University of Buea is made up of five faculties (Arts; Education; Health Sciences; Science; and Social and Management Sciences) and one professional school, the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters, (ASTI).

UB has three schools or colleges:
- College of Technology (COT)
- Higher Technical Teachers Training College (ENSET in Kumba).
- Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI).
UB has seven faculties:
- Faculty of Health Sciences.
- Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET).
- Faculty of Arts
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
- Faculty of Laws and Political Science.
- Faculty of Science.
