Anti-terrorism law Cameroon: Paul Biya approved the anti-terrorism law
After its recent adoption by the Senate and the National Assembly, Paul Biya promulgated the “Law No. 2014/028 of 23 December 2014 on the suppression of acts of terrorism (anti-terrorism law). This law provides a death penalty for the perpetrators of terrorist acts. According to political analysts, Cameroon suffers repeated incursions of the terrorist group, Boko Haram especially in the Far North region. The recent attacks in CAR rebels in Eastern Cameroon are also taken into account.
The text of the Head of State, Paul Biya in a context of terrorist threat is becoming more widespread on the continental and global levels. Hence the early commitment of the Cameroonian government to maintain the climate of peace dear to his country, to fully ensure human security and integrity of the national territory.
